Meet the Staff
Kelly Haley – Office Manager
Kelly has been part of our team for over 10 years. She began as a Dental Assistant in 2008, and due to her progression, has been our Office Manager since 2015. She graduated from LFCC in 2009 with an Associate’s Degree in Administrative Support. Occasionally you will still see Kelly in the assistant’s chair as her talents are spread throughout the office. She is quick to help keep our patients well informed of any treatment that needs to be completed. She also is sure to thoroughly explain things should you have any questions regarding treatment, insurance plans, billing or scheduling.
Kelly also volunteers as Dr. Broadhead’s assistant at St. Luke Community Clinic’s Dental clinic. She played a large role in 2015 in helping the clinic to progress to where it is today and enjoys giving back to our community through that avenue.
Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband, Tyler, family and friends as well as her horse, Piper and her Rottweiler, Roman, who has jokingly been
known as our “Office Mascot”. She recently added another Rottie to the family - Miss Mya!
Julie Shiflett – Receptionist
Julie has been part of Dr. Frederick Broadhead’s team since he bought the practice in 2007. However, her legacy in the building goes back for nearly two decades with previous dentists. She handles multiple tasks at the front desk and is always ready to greet you with a smile. She is quick to call you for an appointment when there is an availability and will go the extra mile to ensure you’re seen in a timely fashion. Julie and her husband, Norman have been Front Royal residents since birth and could tell you anything you need to know about our lovely town. During her leisure, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Melissa, lovingly known as Missy, has been part of our team for 10 years. She has had 30+ years of experience as being a Dental Assistant. Missy will always keep you laughing and smiling, even when you’re numb! She is a true joy to be around and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
Missy also volunteers her time at St. Luke Community Clinic as Dr. Daisy’s assistant. She enjoys being able to give back to our community in that way.
Missy enjoys spending time with her mother as well as her daughter, Katie.
Haven Russell – Dental Assistant
Haven joined our team over a year ago. She is newer to the dental field, however, she is progressing wonderfully. Her lively personality and interest in her patients speaks wonders to her character! Her gentle and personable touch is sure to put you at ease.
Lori is a Rotarian and director of the Warren County Backpack Program. She was also voted as Volunteer of the Year for 2017 through the Northern Virginia Daily. She also enjoys spending time with her family and watching her two daughters, Katie and Lacie, grow and learn throughout their teenage years.
We welcome you to call our office and request Lori as your dental hygienist.
Kathryn Hoffman – Dental Hygienist
Kathryn, lovingly known as Kate, is an excellent hygienist. She is newest to our team of hygienists, but she has wonderful memories of our practice as being a patient here as a child. She graduated from VWCC in 2016 and has recently joined our team. During her schooling, Kate visited our office to shadow how a dental practice operates. Due to her first impression of our office, she decided to apply for employment and we have warmly welcomed her to join our team. Her spunky and loving personality resonates with her patients. She enjoys spending time with her husband Matt, as well as her three children James-Henry, Emerson, and Connemara. She enjoys hiking, doing art projects, and is currently learning to play the guitar.
She is also fully involved with dental health through the local Virginia Dental Hygienists’ Association component as well as being the Recording Secretary for the Virginia Dental Hygienists’ Association at the state level.
We welcome you to call our office and request a dental cleaning appointment with Kate.
Britney Hiett – Dental Hygienist
Britney is an excellent asset to our dental hygienist team. Joining our team in 2016, she has been able to help progress periodontal care for her patients. Britney began her Dental Hygiene career 18 years ago, graduating from Wallace State College in 2000, where she quickly developed a passion for patient education and periodontal therapy. She loves getting to know her patients, hearing their concerns and helping them see the connection between their oral and overall health. In her spare time, she loves creating new recipes, visiting wineries, and volunteering in her community. She has been married to her best friend Corey for nearly 19 years and they have two sons, Pierce and Jude. Britney is so excited to have joined the team and looks forward to building relationships with her new patients for years to come.

Being a native of Northern Virginia, Sue and her husband recently moved to our area. Originally, Sue began as a substitute hygienist for the practice, however, her kind demeanor led Dr. Broadhead to make her a permanent part of our team. She is always quick to be sure anyone has what they need, as well as fully inform her patients of any dental concerns while customizing their home care. Recently, volunteering at St. Luke’s Dental Clinic fulfills her desire to give back to the local community. Along with the rest of the team, Sue welcomes you to the practice and invites you to sit in her chair for your next hygiene appointment.
